Palm Tree Hotel

What was built

Developed in 2010 as a commercial building for lease and renovated into a hotel in 2015. The hotel's programme now reads: two restaurants on the ground floor, a passenger and a goods lift, rooms on half of the first two floors, a party hall across three floors, and a terrace restaurant. The 2015 renovation is the record's second act: a standing building the practice designed for one use and converted, five years later, to another.

How an engagement like this runs

A hospitality engagement plans two or more businesses inside one shell. Presentation drawings resolve the public volumes and the room modules separately; working drawings coordinate the services both need, kitchen extract with guest rooms, goods movement with guest arrival; structural and MEP carry the party-hall spans and the water demand. Supervision tracks the guest-facing finishes hardest, because those are the ones the market judges.
