Hotel Avenue

What was built

A hotel on a 40 x 90 ft plot: a basement bar, rooms on the ground and first floors, and a front reception. On a plot this size every floor has to work for its keep, and the programme puts the public rooms where the street can find them and the bedrooms above.

How an engagement like this runs

A hospitality engagement plans two or more businesses inside one shell. Presentation drawings resolve the public volumes and the room modules separately; working drawings coordinate the services both need, kitchen extract with guest rooms, goods movement with guest arrival; structural and MEP carry the party-hall spans and the water demand. Supervision tracks the guest-facing finishes hardest, because those are the ones the market judges.
