What was built

A school building, 16,000 sq ft per floor over four floors, with the full institutional programme recorded: a basketball court, swimming pool, indoor badminton court, auditorium, laboratories, canteen, staff room, a large waiting area, a director's cabin and counselling chambers. A school is a dense institutional brief: teaching, games and administration have to be planned as one flow, and here the games and assembly spaces sit inside the building rather than beside it.

How an engagement like this runs

An institutional engagement runs on two calendars: the academic one and the construction one. Presentation drawings resolve the campus logic, gates, movement and the block that keeps working; working drawings and structural follow block by block; supervision is phased so occupied wings are never closed for cosmetic work. Payment stages align with the committee funding cycle.

This is the practice’s standing method for the type, not a claim about this project. The stage sequence and payment triggers are on how we work.

Where this record stands

The practice’s archive is being documented project by project. For this entry, the record holds location, year, scale, the recorded brief, the owner-tagged archive photographs; still to be documented are the client consent that allows the story to publish.
