What was built
Institute interiors, 1,600 to 2,000 sq ft: reception and waiting, a counselling chamber, four classrooms, toilets and pantries. The fit-out is specified end to end: fluted louvers, digital-board classrooms with recording cameras for virtual classes, an industrial-look interior with a grey ceiling and 2x2 flooring, and fire NOC compliance. A teaching interior now carries its own technology, and this specification records exactly that.
How an engagement like this runs
An institutional engagement runs on two calendars: the academic one and the construction one. Presentation drawings resolve the campus logic, gates, movement and the block that keeps working; working drawings and structural follow block by block; supervision is phased so occupied wings are never closed for cosmetic work. Payment stages align with the committee funding cycle.
This is the practice’s standing method for the type, not a claim about this project. The stage sequence and payment triggers are on how we work.
Where this record stands
The practice’s archive is being documented project by project. For this entry, the record holds location, year, scale, the recorded brief; still to be documented are photographs from the practice archive, the client consent that allows story and photographs to publish.
